UPDATE: South Carolina District Weather Statement on Hurricane Dorian
As the District of South Carolina officials closely monitor Hurricane Dorian; any updates, including any changes to the Summit and Leadership Retreat schedule will be posted on www.scalpha.org, social media (such as http://twitter.com/uofsc and http://twitter.com/scalphastrong ) and shared via email.
Because of the present weather conditions that are forecasted to extend into Friday, we are postponing the District Stroll Off until the 59th Annual District Conference.
The current plan is to host the Stroll Off on Friday night, October 11, at 9:00 p.m., at the Greenville Hilton Hotel, Greenville, South Carolina. The District will issue refunds on all ticket purchased for this Friday. However, the College Brothers Summit and Leadership Retreat is still scheduled to occur on Saturday. The agenda for the day remains the same. Additionally, the “Hungry for Education” HBCU Tour slated for Claflin and South Carolina State Universities this Saturday has been postponed.
