From the District Director

Greetings Brothers:

In developing my vision as the 11th District Director, I had the brothers of South Carolina in mind. Through my campaign theme, The Alpha I.M.P.A.C.T., I plan to build upon the level of efficiency that the District has achieved while mentoring and strengthening the relationship between the chapters of South Carolina Alphas. In addition, I am interested in improving the comradery that is necessary to grow the bonds between college and alumni brothers.

It will be the collective work of the brotherhood in South Carolina that will help us to achieve The Alpha I.M.P.A.C.T. It will take ideas from brothers from all areas of the District, both college and alumni, to move us forward as one. We have a wealth of talent in South Carolina. We prove it every day with our individual and chapter awards. It is imperative that we share best practices.  That can only be optimized if we improve our relationships and ability to communicate with one another. Let’s embrace our strengths, learn from each other, and continue to give maximum effort.

We will continue to carry out our national programs effectively and efficiently while participating in our signature projects, and venturing into new endeavors as we foster growth and development amongst the chapters of South Carolina.

Please know that without you, our greatest resource, there is no South Carolina Alpha. If ever you want to reach out to offer ideas, solutions or discuss any issues please send an email to scalphaimpact@gmail.com

Remember – together we are SC Alpha Strong!

Fraternally,

Vince A. Gatling, Jr.

Brother Vincent A. Gatling Jr.

South Carolina District Director

If your presence does not make an I.M.P.A.C.T., your absence will not make a difference.  I believe in the Alpha I.M.P.A.C.T.; "Inspiring Men to be Progressive & Accountable while increasing Comradery & Teamwork".

From the Assistant District Director

Brothers and Visitors:

“An Alpha Phi Alpha man’s attitude should not be “How much can I derive from the Fraternity?” but “How much can I do for the Fraternity?”

To my Brothers, I want to start by saying thank you all for believing in me as I stepped up to, and into, the role of Assistant District Director for the District of South Carolina. I will not disappoint, as my goal to engage, connect, and evolve still remains at the forefront of my mind to help keep the brothers of SCALPHA and the Region in good hands.

I plan on using my motivation and determination to work side by side with the leadership team to bring a fresh and new perspective to, not only the District, but the Region as well. As mentioned in my “Two steps forward, no steps back” campaign, I will work non-stop to assure that no brother is left behind throughout his college or alumni life of Alpha. I will also make sure every voice is heard and accounted for, build connections between college and alumni brothers within the state and also within the region, and utilize technology to increase the scope of outreach within the communities and the brotherhood. Without you all, I would not be in the position to progressively work towards helping out our amazing District of South Carolina. As my journey as your Assistant District Director takes off, I ask for your blessings and support throughout it all, as we continue to uphold the Light of Alpha Phi Alpha. I look forward to working and growing with each and every one of you.

Fraternally,

Khadary T. Stephens
